Traditional writing enjoys a resurgence largely because of the writers of North America and their growing influence on English and European craftsmen such as David A. Smith in Torquay, England. Traditional signers use methods that are closely related to their ancestors in this craft and do not rely on technology - they can make a mark with chalk and write it with free eyes. They do not rely on fonts and typically have their own font styles, but also have the ability to make fonts close to the brand, as in architectural design summary, for example.
The design is often made by hand on the drawing board and then combined with CAD software for the production of the initial layout. The adhesive-backed film is then laminated onto another substrate.
The so-called 'permanent' sign for use in front of the store can be cut by a machine or hand of acrylic or metal. However this worsens and loses pigmentation and surface polishing after two to three years.
Many traditional signatories show that painted signs, on the other hand, grow more beautiful as they age, eventually becoming what is known as 'ghost marks' as fading shows reasons, surfaces, brush strokes and undercoats.
Traditional signatures are now regarded as art.
