bed and breakfast (usually abbreviated to B & amp; B or BnB ) is a small inn offering overnight accommodation and breakfast. Bed and breakfasts are often private family homes and usually have between four and eleven rooms, with six on average. In addition, B & amp; B usually has a host who lives in the house.
Bed and breakfast is also used to describe the catering rate included in the hotel room price, compared to room only, half board or full board.

China
In China, expatriates have overhauled traditional structures in quiet, beautiful countryside, and opened some rural boutique hotels with minimum facilities. Most visitors are tourists but they are increasingly popular among the Chinese.
Cuban
In Cuba, which opened for tourism in the 1990s after financial support from the Soviet Union ended, the B & B is called special casa ("private home") being the main form of accommodation outside the tourist resort.
Hungarian
In Hungary, B & amp; Bs are very popular. They are usually small family run hotels, have a friendly atmosphere and a pleasant atmosphere. It provides an affordable alternative to hotels. In Hungary B & amp; B is called "PanziÃÆ'³" or "SzÃÆ'¡llÃÆ'³".
India
In India, the government promotes the concept of bed & amp; breakfast. The government is doing this to boost tourism, especially by keeping an eye on hotel demand during the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi. They have grouped B & amp; Bs in 2 categories - Gold B & amp; Bs, and Silver B & amp; Bs. All B & Bs B must be approved by the Ministry of Tourism, which will then categorize it as Gold or Silver based on a list of predetermined criteria.
Great growth in metro cities such as Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore, and Mumbai have seen rapid growth so people are rushing to these cities to find honorable jobs for their respective trades, and operate or operate Beds & amp; Breakfast became a favorite choice among them. In Italy, regional laws regulate B & Bs. There is a national law "Legge 29 marzo 2001, n. 135" but each region maintains a special rule. Each region may adopt different rules but they must comply with national laws on Tourism (Law No. 135/2001).
Dutch
Bed & amp; Breakfast in Holland literally means what it says, ie 'sleeping with breakfast'. In the Netherlands, it is also often referred to as lodging with breakfast, guest rooms or guesthouses. Swedish
Bed and Breakfast more or less imports directly from British style B & B. B & amp; B is uneven across the country, mostly located in the southern province of SkÃÆ'  ¥ ne or near one of three major cities, Stockholm, Gothenburg and MalmÃÆ'¶. Several other hotel and breakfast hotels that are trying to profit from their name also call their B & B.
There is no law in Sweden that limits such advertising; the only restriction is from the traffic authority (Trafikverket), which permits only to put a bed and breakfast sign on the local road if the owner lives in the same building as the guests. If the owner has less than eight beds, no permission from the police station is required to run public accommodation, but fire safety and food safety apply to all new facilities, regardless of number of beds.
In Sweden B & amp; B using the kitchen is not allowed for guests. Standards are usually acceptable but sometimes with en-suite bathrooms or sometimes shared bathrooms in the corridors. Most people in Sweden speak and understand English, but in small companies it is often difficult to pay by Credit card or Euro. United States
The habit of opening homes for travelers has been around since the early days of Colonial America. The establishment of the inn was few and far between in the 18th century and, apart from a small number of coaching inn, the fighters relied on the kindness of foreigners to provide a bed for the night. Hotels are becoming more common with the advent of railroads and then cars; most cities have at least one reputable hotel.
During the Great Depression, tourist homes provide economic benefits to travelers and hosts. During the 1980s and 1990s, B & B increased rapidly in number and evolved from homestay B & Bs with shared baths and simple furnishings for beautifully renovated historic homes with luxurious décor and amenities. Many B & amp; Bs created a historical atmosphere by adapting historic properties (such as the 1830's Federal-style Holladay House in Orange, Virginia) as a homestyle decorated with antique furniture. Rule
The rules and laws vary greatly between jurisdictions both in content and level and in law enforcement.
The most common rules that the B & B should follow are safety. They are usually required by local and national regulations to have fire resistance, adequate fire escape plans in place, and smoke detectors in every living room. Kitchens and equipment used to serve food are also often asked to be monitored for hygienic operations, but there are significant national and local differences.
In Hawaii, it is illegal to open a new bed & amp; breakfast in Oahu in 1989. The reason for the moratorium is to force homeowners with additional space to rent out their extra space for low-income residents who otherwise can not afford to pay for housing in busier Oahu.
Professional and trade associations
Many inns and bed and breakfasts are members of professional associations. There are international, national, regional and local associations, all of which provide services to their members and the traveling community. Many require members to meet certain quality standards, while others only require lodging establishments to pay dues. The association also facilitates the marketing of individual B & B and stamp the approval that the business in question has a good reputation. In the United States, the two main national professional associations are the International Lodging Professional Association (PAII) and the Independent Hospitality Professionals Association (AIHP).
While local governments have rules and check lodging for health and safety issues, membership in country/province/national bed and breakfast associations can show higher standards of hospitality. Associations sometimes review the properties of their members and tend to have additional treatment standards.
In the US, for example, each state has an existing (usually non-profit) board association to promote industry and tourism. Within the country's associations, many city and area bed and breakfast associations can be found. Many state, municipal and regional associations, have inspection criteria that often exceed government requirements for safety and hygiene.
In Australia, this industry is represented by Bed & amp; Breakfast, Farmstay and Accommodation Australia Ltd (BBFAA).
In the British Isles, the national consent council formed by the government is much stricter than others and standards are expected to be high. In Ireland there are associations that will only use approved members of the national tourism board (Almara Accommodation Dublin)
