Archive is a New York City-based arts software company established in 2014 that creates Primary, art inventory database solutions for art galleries and art collections. Primary is a Filemaker Pro-based app, and Primer Archives is a member of the Business Filemaker Alliance.
On September 16, 2016, ZieherSmith, a New York gallery, announced that it was the brand ambassador for the Primary Archive.
On September 21, 2016, Primer Archives announced it offered an optional cloud hosting service to use Primary on computers, iPhones and iPads.
