The Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is a puppet figure that was exhibited and voiced by Robert Smigel, best known for taunting celebrities with Eastern European accents. As the name suggests, Triumph's comedy style almost exclusively insults comedy. Hound of Yugoslav Mountain, Triumph often takes out a cigar, which usually falls from his mouth when he starts talking. She debuted in 1997 on NLC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and also appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien from time to time, > Funhouse TV , TBS Conan , and Adult Swim's The Jack and Triumph Show . The Triumph Debut is in an incredibly talented comedy drama at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (WKC). In addition to other dog puppets playing banjo and performing magic, Triumph appears in his characteristic personality from a disgusting and abusive insult comic in Don Rickles's blood vessels. His character quickly gained popularity, and became a recurring fixture on the show, often mocking celebrity guests of the show and leaving the studio to sexually harass members of the general public in remote pre-recorded segments. On his next visit to WKC, he is often found "banged" (trying to mate), and sometimes "hugged" by other dogs.
Star Wars fan
In one widely downloaded segment Triumph interviewed Star Wars fans who were waiting in the movie's Attack of the Clones queue. In that segment, Triumph meets Blackwolf the Dragonmaster (who calls himself "New York's unofficial wizard"). Initially visiting the lineup to "pay his respect" to fans of Star Wars, Blackwolf was seen by Triumph and cited as "a geek of another dimension". Approaching Blackwolf, Triumph quickly linked him as part of the fan base of The Lord of the Rings (based on Blackwolf's fantasy costume) and then asked, "Have you ever talked to a woman without having to give you your credit card number?" Triumph then pitted Star Wars fans (in full Jedi costume) in a mock duel against Blackwolf and declared that the winner would be declared as "ÃÆ'¼ber-dork". Other moments involve fans of Star Wars pregnant who also queue up. When told about the expected due date of the baby, Triumph replied, "That's the last time he [baby] will see a female genitals." Later, while talking to a fan dressed in Darth Vader's tight clothes, Triumph turned his attention to the buttons on his chest and commented, "Which one is calling your parents to pick you up?" Finally annoyed by Star Wars's cosplay activity, Triumph sums up his days in the Star Wars range by calling Angry Spock (the other) Late Night with Conan O'Brien i> characters). Dress as a Vulcan Spock (from Star Trek franchise) character and have a calm demeanor, Angry Spock immediately and quietly proceed down the lineup and indifferently give everyone fingers. This segment is featured as part of the best End of Night with Conan O'Brien series over the last two weeks of the show.
Bon Jovi's Concert
Triumph insulted the entire state of New Jersey as he traveled to Meadowlands to interview Bon Jovi when they returned to their home country (according to Triumph: "like dirt, back to a bluish hole"). 2004 presidential campaign
Triumph filmed a number of segments during the 2004 US presidential election cycle. In November 2003, in the early days of the 2004 US presidential campaign, Triumph was the "main guest" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on a night just as Democratic candidate John Kerry also appeared on the show.. Kerry made a dramatic entry, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the stage; but Triumph, in a peculiar fashion, mocks him with a rough series of crude comments, until Kerry's apparent discomfort. (Among his jokes: "The dirt I make in the dressing room has more heat than John Kerry!")
After the third presidential debate, Triumph went on a Spin Alley tour, a traditional post-debate press conference in which members of both high-profile parties "in the traditions of Joseph Goebbels, Baghdad Bob, and Carson Daly, scoop up dirt droppings," according to Triumph. During this segment Triumph insulted many famous political strategists, including Karl Rove ("You're Bush's brain, Karl. I was expecting a much smaller man"), Paul Begala ("The head of this man is so far from Hillary's ass, they call him The Colonoscope "), and Joe Lockhart (" Can you make women think you do not look dirty in the bathroom? ") In exchange with conservative commentator Ralph Reed, Triumph tries to ask questions about gay marriage, just to be rebuffed like Reed said," I do not take questions from dogs. He mocks Quebec nationalism, at one point recounts a plump French-Canadian that before separating from Canada he had to "try to separate him from the donut first." In June 2005, Triumph went to the Santa Maria courthouse where Michael Jackson fans were waiting for the verdict in the 2005 trial for child molestation.
