The Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is a puppet figure that was exhibited and voiced by Robert Smigel, best known for taunting celebrities with Eastern European accents. As the name suggests, Triumph's comedy style almost exclusively insults comedy. Hound of Yugoslav Mountain, Triumph often takes out a cigar, which usually falls from his mouth when he starts talking. She debuted in 1997 on NLC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and also appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien from time to time, > Funhouse TV , TBS Conan , and Adult Swim's The Jack and Triumph Show . Smigel and Triumph have been excluded from several events for Triumph's antics, including Westminster (three times), Honolulu line for auditions for American Idol, and the 2004 Democratic National Convention (when shooting canceled film projects).

Essential appearance

Debut (Westminster Dog Show)

The Triumph Debut is in an incredibly talented comedy drama at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (WKC). In addition to other dog puppets playing banjo and performing magic, Triumph appears in his characteristic personality from a disgusting and abusive insult comic in Don Rickles's blood vessels. His character quickly gained popularity, and became a recurring fixture on the show, often mocking celebrity guests of the show and leaving the studio to sexually harass members of the general public in remote pre-recorded segments. On his next visit to WKC, he is often found "banged" (trying to mate), and sometimes "hugged" by other dogs.

Star Wars fan

In one widely downloaded segment Triumph interviewed Star Wars fans who were waiting in the movie's Attack of the Clones queue. In that segment, Triumph meets Blackwolf the Dragonmaster (who calls himself "New York's unofficial wizard"). Initially visiting the lineup to "pay his respect" to fans of Star Wars, Blackwolf was seen by Triumph and cited as "a geek of another dimension". Approaching Blackwolf, Triumph quickly linked him as part of the fan base of The Lord of the Rings (based on Blackwolf's fantasy costume) and then asked, "Have you ever talked to a woman without having to give you your credit card number?" Triumph then pitted Star Wars fans (in full Jedi costume) in a mock duel against Blackwolf and declared that the winner would be declared as "ÃÆ'¼ber-dork". Other moments involve fans of Star Wars pregnant who also queue up. When told about the expected due date of the baby, Triumph replied, "That's the last time he [baby] will see a female genitals." Later, while talking to a fan dressed in Darth Vader's tight clothes, Triumph turned his attention to the buttons on his chest and commented, "Which one is calling your parents to pick you up?" Finally annoyed by Star Wars's cosplay activity, Triumph sums up his days in the Star Wars range by calling Angry Spock (the other) Late Night with Conan O'Brien i> characters). Dress as a Vulcan Spock (from Star Trek franchise) character and have a calm demeanor, Angry Spock immediately and quietly proceed down the lineup and indifferently give everyone fingers. This segment is featured as part of the best End of Night with Conan O'Brien series over the last two weeks of the show.

Bon Jovi's Concert

Triumph insulted the entire state of New Jersey as he traveled to Meadowlands to interview Bon Jovi when they returned to their home country (according to Triumph: "like dirt, back to a bluish hole"). He went on to tear down all the bands had done, dropping their age, lack of media ("People came from as far as 12 out!"), Jon Bon Jovi plunged into acting world ("You did a vampire movie," Yeah? Finally the role you need to suck! ") And even embracing Heather Locklear. (He married Bon Jovi, lead guitarist Richie Sambora at the time.) Triumph featured an artificial playlist on stage consisting of song titles such as "Crap", "Poop", "Loads of Crap (ballad version)" and others say "They have not been covered with" Turd "since 1989! Extraordinary! "He visits the" real heterosexuals "(street crew) and produces his own bong made from dog toys that are shrill and a can of Alpo.He is, of course, insulting any drunken fans he can find, tapping his 1980s dress and hair together with a blue collar and an unemployment joke. Finally, he had to sing "You Give Love a Bad Name" with the band and his own words: Plowing pei sharp/pulled out too late/now the bitch had his eight/all Alpo, right from my plate/why did not I masturbate ?! Oh, I'm a loaded rifle! - This is Bon Jovi, the shit starts! - Look at you, are not you shy? - You give a bad name to dirt! in the ass where you came from!/You give the bad name shit!

2004 presidential campaign

Triumph filmed a number of segments during the 2004 US presidential election cycle. In November 2003, in the early days of the 2004 US presidential campaign, Triumph was the "main guest" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on a night just as Democratic candidate John Kerry also appeared on the show.. Kerry made a dramatic entry, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the stage; but Triumph, in a peculiar fashion, mocks him with a rough series of crude comments, until Kerry's apparent discomfort. (Among his jokes: "The dirt I make in the dressing room has more heat than John Kerry!")

After the third presidential debate, Triumph went on a Spin Alley tour, a traditional post-debate press conference in which members of both high-profile parties "in the traditions of Joseph Goebbels, Baghdad Bob, and Carson Daly, scoop up dirt droppings," according to Triumph. During this segment Triumph insulted many famous political strategists, including Karl Rove ("You're Bush's brain, Karl. I was expecting a much smaller man"), Paul Begala ("The head of this man is so far from Hillary's ass, they call him The Colonoscope "), and Joe Lockhart (" Can you make women think you do not look dirty in the bathroom? ") In exchange with conservative commentator Ralph Reed, Triumph tries to ask questions about gay marriage, just to be rebuffed like Reed said," I do not take questions from dogs. " Victory replied: "Oh, you will accept it, bitch!"

In July and August 2004, Triumph followed up with a visit to the national convention of both major parties. During the Democratic National Convention in Boston (from which he was released), Triumph and Michael Moore attempted to crash into Bill O'Reilly's set. O'Reilly, after her makeup was applied at the time, shouted, "If I had to get out there, Insult Dog, you would have spoken much higher than you are now." He also gained entry to the Republican convention in New York, and even debated the actor Ron Silver while wrapping up on MSNBC.

MTV Video Music Awards

In addition to regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Triumph has appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards, including an exchange with Jennifer Lopez in which she asked Lopez for permission to sniff her ass because "for dogs, it's like climbing Mount Everest. "MTV then removes the segment from broadcast broadcasting. She remembered how her first reaction to the dog was "Keep my face!" The following year, Triumph interviewed Moby and then approached the angry Eminem, prompting MTV to cut the segment. Eminem then refers and disguises as Triumph in the song "Ass Like That" from his 2004 album Encore , and then appears in the video, by himself playing Triumph.

French Canadian in Quebec

In February 2004, there was a comedy drama in which Triumph cast defamation to French Canadians in Quebec during Sunday Night Late Night ', recorded in Toronto, Ontario. Triumph also tells people who do not speak English that he can smell their crotch (in English). When one person walks away from the camera (with a series of curses), Triumph replies, "You are in North America, learn the language!" "Until the trial is over," reports Triumph, "neither of us really knows that Michael is innocent or guilty, but there's one thing we know... he's guilty!" Triumph also made fun of some foreigners who supported Jackson, including a Bulgarian man wearing a bright lime green shirt. In front of the man is a sign, stating "the only victim is Michael," which Triumph answered with, "he is not the only victim of fashion, I can see that!", And, "Loving Love," bee bee boop ' , contaminated love, 'implying that the man was wearing a 1980's closet. She advises female fans that if she really wants to get Michael's attention, she should "wear a nice, low-cut dress, maybe with a six-year-old on your shoulder." After seeing a Michael Jackson impersonator singing and doing a moonwalk, Triumph asks him if he can "do Michael masturbate to Home Alone ." Also, when a woman mentions that Michael is late and comes to court with his pajamas, Triumph gasps, "She Comes in his pajamas?" When another woman dressed as a clown refused to speak with Triumph, saying that she did not speak to the doll, Triumph replied, "Right... will not want to compromise with your dignity, right?"
