The Bacalaureat (or bac for short) is a test held in Romania and Moldova when a high school graduate (Romanian: liceu ).

Unlike French Baccalaureate, Romanians have a single degree. Subject (except subject A) depends on the profile under study (Romanian: span de studyu profile ): mathematics and computer science (Romanian: mathematical? -informatics? ), philology (Romanian: filologie ) , natural sciences (Romanian: "Tiin> E ale naturii ), social science (Romanian: ? Tiin? E sociale ), or other vocational pathways (Romanian: filiera voca? Ional? ) , and candidate choice.
The Hungarian minority who lives in Romania and took the baccalaureate exam translates Bacalaureat to ÃÆ'â € Å"rettsÃÆ'Â © gi , which means maturity, like Spanish Matura. Diploma de Bacalaureat translated into ÃÆ'â € Å"rettsÃÆ'Â © gi Diploma .
The rating scale is between 1 and 10. To graduate, students must earn at least 5.00 in each subject with a minimum of 6.00 overall.

Moldova
Moldavian Bacalaureat consists of four exams. Students from schools with a Romanian language of instruction must follow one additional exam in their original language and literature.
Trials usually take place in June. Everything is written and each is valued separately.
Also students must choose one more subject taught in school. The majority prefer to write Geography or Chemistry.
Subject
Baccalaalaureate has up to 5 modules, each valued separately. Module E, written exam, is considered for admission to higher education.
Competency exam
A, B, and D are marked with: Beginner, Average, Advanced, and Experienced.
- A : Romanian language - oral test.
- B : Mother Language - if different from Romanian, and if learned; oral test.
- C : foreign language - oral and written checks; rated on the CEFR scale, from A1 to B2.
- D : computer skills.
Written exam
Each test takes three hours.
