Plot

Love is in the air when Principal Skinner and Mrs. Krabappel is finally married. They each had their bachelor party, with Mrs. Krabappel has it in Simpson's house with Duffman and Wiggum topless as a stripper, and Principal Skinner has it in Moe's with Homer. However, in his party, Skinner admits he has doubts about marrying Mrs Krabappel. When the wedding was held at the Springfield Elementary gymnasium, Edna learned that Skinner did not want to marry her, and escaped from the ceremony when Skinner tried to catch up while Nelson played a joke on him. Marriage canceled.

After being canceled, Homer and Marge tried to get Skinner and Krabappel to become engaged again, but stopped by Homer and Marge's marriage problems. Mrs Krabappel returns the wedding gift to Guy Comic Book, and she finds her to be an interesting man. Homer got Skinner for the Krabappel serenade using a band consisting of Bart, Milhouse, and Martin, but it failed when he learned that Comic Book Guy and Krabappel were in love. The family visits Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con to face Comic Book Guy, who proposes to marry Krabappel after the family sees Futurama's creator Matt Groening. Skinner, dressed as Catwoman (whom he thought was Catman) fought against Comic Book Guy. Krabappel interrupts their fight to declare that he will not marry any man. When he told Comic Book Guy how they were having fun but very different, he accepted his decision, though Skinner was still upset. Then, at Simpson's house, Homer asks Marge to marry him again, which is done in Klingon's imitation style of marriage, and he accepts (even though he accidentally agrees to give their children Klingon's care).

Reception

Colin Jacobson of the DVD Movie Guide said he had "never been interested in Skinner/Edna relationships, so [the episode] fell in red, never quite rebounding from the deficit, for failing to find much inspiration." He added that "Some laughter appear along the way, but not enough to make up for it."
