The Healthy Eating Pyramid (alternately, Healthy Eating Plates ) is a nutrition guide developed by the Harvard School of Public Health, showing the number of each food category each human must eat. day. Healthy eating pyramid is meant to provide a healthy eating guide of the widespread food guides pyramid created by the USDA.

The new pyramid aims to include more recent research into dietary health that was not in the USDA guidelines of 1992. The original USDA pyramid has been criticized for not distinguishing between processed grains and grains, between saturated and unsaturated fats, and because not putting enough emphasis on exercise and weight control.
