History
Foundation
The history of the company can be traced back to 1919 when the "Redhill Tile Company" was founded in England. In November this year, the production of the first concrete roof tiles began. In 1946, the company changed its name and became "Redland Tiles". After a period of expansion between 1949 and 1951 where Redland invested in South Africa, Australia and Malaysia, the company bought the majority of Braas in Germany. The founder of Braas, de: Rudolf Braas, has had close contact with his colleagues in England for some time. Still in the same year, the parent company was built in Heusenstamm near Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
