The actor in Unified Modeling Language (UML) "determines the role played by users or other systems that interact with the subject."

UML 2 does not allow connections between Actors. The use of generalization/specialization relationships between actors is useful in modeling overlapping behavior between offenders and does not violate these boundaries because generalization relations are not a type of association.
