The Daily Brief was a free online newsletter distributed by email. It provided a summary of world news, attempting to keep to the essential facts and to be as unbiased as possible. It was published by Intelligent Network Concepts, a company owned and operated by J Kirby Robinson of Charlottesville, Virginia and Kevin T Conley of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In January 1997, The Daily Brief had almost 20,000 subscribers, according to the publication's own figures.
Publication ceased suddenly with no explanation some time after April 2000. By April 2006, the domain name previously used by The Daily Brief's web site still existed but was no longer used for that purpose.
Numerous old web pages on the Internet still contain references to The Daily Brief and, in a few cases, excerpts from some of its editions.
The online newsletter is not to be confused with the app of the same name published by a different company.
